New Zealand and Australia will compete in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s
With amazing news from the Fiji Rugby Union and Fiji 7s head coach, Ben Gollings, fans are now focused on one of Fiji’s most iconic local tournaments.
Gollings has reportedly just confirmed that the upcoming Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will feature their Pacific rivals Australia and New Zealand.
Fiji and New Zealand, unfortunately, missed out on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Spain after suffering from covid-19 dilemmas.

The Fiji Airways men’s national 7s were set to participate in the two legs of the Spanish Series but were forced to withdraw due to a player testing positive for the virus. New Zealand on the other hand had to withdraw due to travel restrictions which hindered them from traveling.
“We had been in contact with both Australia and New Zealand teams for a while now,” he said.
Australia went on to participate in both legs which saw the Australian Women’s Sevens winning their third championship tournament this year.
“The Australians were the first to offer their positive response and New Zealand has followed suit.”
Gollings is said to be in full focus as he prepares for his first international tournament in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series leg in Singapore.
