The Argentina 7s team has famously dominated the tournaments organized to prepare Olympic teams for their Tokyo journey.
The Los Pumas took on to win tournament after tournament in their build up to the Tokyo Olympic Games.
As they battled it out in the Pool matches the squads skills began to show on the sports biggest stage. Their match against the then defending bronze medalists, South Africa in the quarterfinals was the talk of the town.
Early in the quarterfinals, Argentinian veteran, Gaston Ravol was red carded for a high tackle on a Blitzboks player which force the game to become a 7 vs 6 player tournament within the first minutes.
As Ravol sat on the sidelines shown to be crying, his teammates famously battled one of the crowd favorites in the Olympic Games. The team showed real passion with every move they made not giving up in defense, chasing every runner.
And more notoriously, their pure pace. The youngsters of the Argentinian side was notably fast and dangerous with the ball.
