Uganda announces squad for the Solidarity Cup

The Uganda squad had just recently  finished their Emirates Invitational 7s campaign in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and are now set to fly out for the Solidarity Cup in South Africa.

The Dubai squad will have new additions in their squad in the form of Balagadde, James Odongo, Timothy Kisiga and Byron Oketayot in their squad. Pius Ogena has been dropped from the traveling squad after suffering a shoulder injury.

The team will be under one week of high performance training camp as they gear up towards the Solidarity Cup and are helping teams in their preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games which will takes place in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The four nations that are set to take part in the tournament are; South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Uganda

The traveling squad is said to be expected to leave the country on Thursday, May 6 and the squad will return ten days later on May 16.

The tour will be an important trial match for all four countries as they all prepare for their respective campaigns.
