France strenghtens their squad with four additional 7s stars

France Rugby has recently announced their starting line up for their deciding match against Ireland this weekend and Laura Sansus is one player that will step up as she replaces Pauline Bourdon at scrum-half. She is one of eight changes to the French starting XV’s this weekend in the Women’s Six Nations against Ireland.

Despite outdoing the Welsh side with a successful 53-0 success back in round 1 of the Women’s Six Nations, Annick Hayraud has opted to change over half of the teams line up for their trip to Dublin.

And the Les Bleues squad is now stronger than ever as four of their sevens stars from Dubai 7s are back in action for the bigger format.

Five of the eight alterations are from the back side as Sansus and 7s sensational kicker Carolinne Drouin forma an all new half-back partnership. Jade Ulutule and Carla Neisen also make up a fresh midfield  as Cyriell Banet earning a starting spot on the wing.

In the forwards pack France 7s Olympian Marjorie Mayans will also be starting this Saturday as flanker. While Rose Bernadou is named at tighthead prop and the dangerous Safi N’Diaye comes into the second row after coming off the bench in the match against Wales.

Gaëlle Hermet captains the team and keeps her open side position with the impressive Emeline Gros at number 8.
