Kenya have announced four changes to their rugby sevens squad who are competing in Las Vegas and Vancouver legs of the HSBC World Sevens Series, as they look to recover from a poor season so far.
The Shujaa, who reached the final of the 2018 Hong Kong Sevens before losing to Fiji, face hosts United States, France and Argentina in Pool B of the Las Vegas Sevens, from March 1-3 but have been forced to make a number of changes to the squad who took part in Hamilton and Sydney.
Head Coach Paul Murunga has called up Herman Humwa, Charles Owino, Edmund Anya and Michael Agevimade to the squad with Kenya ranked 13th in the 2018-19 world series and facing possible relegation from core team status.
Out of the Kenya squad are Harold Anduvate, who was injured playing in the Nakuru derby. Wandeto is also out with an injury while Eliakim and Reeve have been rested from International duty.
Humwa and Owino were part of the Kenya squad who competedin the Dubai7s and CapeTown7s legs last year. Edmund Anya is set to debut for Shujaa while Agevi makes a return to the squad for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
